Meet Our Teachers
Meet the teachers who care for the children of OSLS preschool - minds, hearts, bodies and souls.
Katie Franks, director
Hey! I’m Katie Franks, My husband Neal and I have two daughters, Payton and Avery. Both of our daughters attend OSLS as I did 30+ years ago. Our Saviour has always held a special place in my heart. I graduated from North Greenville University with a BS in Psychology, minoring in Early Childhood. I am a life long member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. In my spare time I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and going to Clemson Sporting events. We are huge Clemson fans. Go Tigers!
Allison Miller, k4 teacher
Hi! My name is Allison Miller. I have been married to my husband, Jon, for ten years. We have twins who are nine years old (Karsyn and Wesley) and a four year old (Maddie). I attended OSLS as a child and all of my children have attended as well. I am honored to be given the opportunity to teach at such a special school. I have a bachelors degree and have taken Master courses in Christian Ministry. In my free time, I enjoy shopping, singing, and reading. I am a big Clemson fan! God and my family are the most important things in my life!
Kerrie Azbell, k3 teacher
My name is Kerrie Azbell and I am the 3K teacher here at Our Saviour Lutheran School. I have been teaching here since 2015. My family and I moved here from Ohio in the spring of 2014 to help my brother open The Southern Growl. We love it here in South Carolina. My husband Jason and I got married in 2006 and we have 2 beautiful daughters, Rosalie and Lilly and we will be welcoming our third child in July 2019. Both of my daughters attended OSLS for preschool. In addition to teaching, I love hiking with my family, crocheting, and scrapbooking. My family and I are members of Prince of Peace Catholic Church where I help teach Religious Education.
Terri vanselow, k2 teacher
I have worked for Our Saviour for 20 years. I love working with young children and helping them grow. I have had several different roles here, but I am currently the 2K teacher. I am married with 3 grown boys and am a grandmother (nana) and a great grandmother.
As a 2K teacher, I help parents raise kids who are kind and know how to work with others. I believe building a good foundation is the key to loving and doing well in school for the lifetime of the child.
Kristen pittman, assistant teacher
I grew up here in Greenville and have a Bachelors Degree from Anderson University and a Masters Degree from Liberty University. I have worked with children of all ages and find great joy in helping families learn and grow!
My husband and I are members and volunteers at Newspring Church. We have three daughters who keep us very busy but in our free time we enjoy traveling, bee keeping, and CLEMSON sports!
